Mountains are not about ticking a box, but about a conscious path, skills and responsibility.
If you feel ready to move from a tourist to a climber, read this article carefully. It’s not just a program; it’s a philosophy of safe mountains and your next level.

Demand for training programs has grown significantly over the past few years. Extreme Guide is a leader in this field. We run full-fledged mountaineering schools in the Ukrainian Carpathians, the Tatra Mountains, Georgia, the Alps, and other regions of Europe. Below you can find specific Extreme Guide tours by region:

Why are we doing this?

We want to change the overall culture of mountaineering in Ukraine. Mountains must be safe. We don’t teach vertical jumaring, except for when you’re training for the bigwall Trango Tower! Most commercial programs don’t require jumaring, and where it’s needed, we always offer a high-quality master class during the program.

Participants in our programs will gain confident, consistent experience and skills to become less dependent on a guide on routes of varying difficulty, make independent decisions, and feel safe on most well-known commercial routes.

The main things participants should learn during the school are how to navigate various terrain forms: ice, snow, and rock; how to organize belay and self-belay; small-group rescue; and crevasse recovery. Our programs in the Alps with climbing Mont Blanc, and in Georgia with climbing Kazbek, will help you plan independent climbs that are appropriate for the difficulty of the future.
