In the north is the Russian republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and in the south is Georgia, a magnificent country with open hospitable people, a rich history, a huge cultural heritage and, of course, impressive mountain landscapes.
The best time for climbing is June β October.

β Requirement for climbing participants: previous experience of hiking in the Caucasus and Carpathians is desirable;
β The program of the trek across Georgia is not final and can be adjusted depending on weather conditions, condition of participants and other circumstances;
β At the beginning of summer (June, mid-summer) the delivery of things and equipment on horses is possible only up to the Gergeti glacier. The possibility of delivery depends on the presence of snow on the glacier.

The group gathers in the village of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) at 8:00. We meet the guide. We rent the missing equipment. We drive to the Tsminda-Sameba monastery by SUV, altitude 2200 m. We unload the public equipment, ride on horses. We go to the shelter “Meteorological Station”.
The journey takes about 7-9 hours, 6 km.

Early rise, leaving the camp no later than 3:00. Ascent to Kazbek (5054 m) along the classic route to the eastern summit, descent to the camp. Overnight in tents.
The average ascent time from the base camp to the summit is 7-9 hours and the descent is about 3 hours. Therefore, you need to prepare yourself for a walking day of 10-12 hours.
