Dent Du Geant, peak in the Mont Blanc massif – this is an amazing mountain with a rich history. The name of the peak is translated as “giant’s tooth,” which is not surprising, because this rock tower really resembles a tooth in its appearance. The top itself consists of two separate mount teeth connected by a sharp ridge.
Dent Du Geant amazes with its beauty and grandeur, and is also considered one of the most difficult four-thousanders in the Alps. It is not surprising that this peak was not conquered on the first attempt and for a long time was considered absolutely inaccessible by climbers. The first successful ascent was made by climbers Jean-Joseph Macignaz and his son Jean-Baptiste in 1882.
This tour is one of the varieties of climbing Mont Blanc. Climbing Dent Du Geant will be an exciting adventure both for those who are just taking their first steps in mountaineering and for experienced athletes. Plus, in good weather, the summit offers fantastic views of the Mont Blanc massif, which will definitely be worth all the effort.
