We invite you to plunge into the hospitable embrace of Armenia and climb Aragats!
The ancient Armenian civilization is literally saturated with rich history, unique culture, and original local cuisine. In addition to climbing to the highest point of the country – Aragats Peak (3880 m), we will get acquainted with ancient fortresses and temples, historical monuments and many other attractions. About 90% of the territory of Armenia is located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters, so mountain plateaus and volcanic ridges are a common sight here. Many rivers originate from the Eastern Armenian Highlands, flowing in stormy streams into the gorges.
Feel the true call of the mountains by hiking to a height of 4090 meters! The difficulty of the climb is average. The mountain plateaus contain remains of ancient civilizations, some of which are officially recognized as World Heritage Sites. Brownish hills give way to stunning landscapes of valleys, mountain peaks combine with green carpets of slopes – the beauty of the local nature will not leave anyone indifferent.
The program, which includes eleven days of trekking, will not seem boring even for an hour. The people who inhabited this area in ancient times are incredibly hospitable – you are guaranteed to enjoy local dishes and the famous pomegranate wine. There are more than 300 mountain ranges scattered throughout the country, interspersed with snow-capped peaks and sacred sites.
Aragats and Ararat are two unchanging mountain guardians on the horizon, created by nature itself and personifying its power. These mountain peaks have become real legends, so not only climbers, but also ordinary tourists dream of visiting them. We are firmly convinced that after a hike along the mountain plateaus of Armenia, you will return home as a completely different person, retaining exciting memories of this trip and many impressive photographs for the rest of your life.
