After entering university, I connected with a group of outdoor enthusiasts, which eventually led to my first sport mountain trek. Quite soon, what started as a way to skip classes turned into a habit, and the habit grew into a lasting dependency. Later, having recognized and accepted the chronic nature of this passion, I began working as a mountain guide.
In addition to developing my technical skills and knowledge, I gained experience working with commercial groups. Over the years, reflecting on the saying “if you can do it — do it; if you can’t do it — teach it; if you can’t teach it — manage it,” I moved into an organizational role within the company.
Now, as part of a team of managers, guides, logistics specialists, and administrators — collectively referred to for convenience as ExtremeGuide — I try to design programs and prepare participants in such a way that their first experience in the mountains leads to a second one, the second becomes a habit, and the habit turns into a passion. A good kind of addiction.
