From rapid passes and steep peaks we will look at mountain lakes and rocky ridges from a bird’s eye view, and the unforgettable landscapes of the High Tatras will become a source of energy and recharging in our daily life for a long time. After all, we will visit the deepest Big and Small Cold Valleys, walk along the mighty walls of Gerlachovský štít and climb the legendary Rysy and go down to the most beautiful lake – Morskie Oko.

Gathering of the group in the city of Poprad, moving to Starý Smokovec. First, we will take a short walk along the streets of Stary Smokovec, admire the old houses, go to the mineral water pump room and then slowly begin our ascent to Hrebenok. From Hrebienok we will walk along the Studeny Potok and explore the waterfalls. After a short climb, we will arrive at our overnight stay.

Today we will follow the path along the Small Studeny Potok to the Prechnoye Sedlo Pass (2352m), through which we will climb our first via ferrata, which is the most difficult on the entire route. After the pass we descend into the Big Cold Valley and head to the Zbojnitsky House for the night.
On the way we will pass wonderful mountain lakes: Nižné, Stredné and Velické Spišský pleso, as well as Starolesnyanske and Stredné šedé Pleso. We will spend the night with a view of Dlhý pleso, surrounded by the steep cliffs of the High Tatras.

Today we will cross the Prielom Pass and, if the weather is good, we will go to the Východná Vysoká Mountain. Our path will begin through Kotlina under Prelom, then we will begin the ascent to the pass, the upper part of which is equipped with special cables. This is where we will need to put on our systems and helmets and safely cross the pass.
Next we will descend into the Belovodska Valley and ascend to the Polish Ridge, from which we will begin to climb Mount Vyhodna. We will descend along the ascent path to the Polish Ridge and further into the
Velická Valley. All the way to the right, the walls of the highest peak of the High Tatras and the entire Carpathian mountain range, Gerlachovsky Peak, will tower above us. We will spend the night on the shore of Lake Wieliczka.

Today we have an easy trek. We start with the Gerlachovský štít traverse, and on the way we will look into the Batizovská Valley. We will finish our traverse on Mount Ostrva, which offers an excellent panorama of the western part of the High Tatras. Then we go down to spend the night in a mountain hotel on the shore of the Popradské Pleso.

Today we will climb Rysy (2501m) and go down to the most picturesque lake of the Tatras – Morskie Oko. The climb up the mountain does not require special equipment, but the trail is quite steep. And for the descent down you will need to put on systems, since the route from the Polish side is more difficult and equipped with cables. After the technical part of the route, a simple trail awaits us first along the Black Stav under Rysy, and then along Morskie Oko. We spend the night with magical views on the shore of Morskie Oko.

Today we are descending into civilization. There will be no ascent, only a descent through a dense spruce forest to the Łysa Polana stop. From here, if desired, you can go to the famous Zakopane and spend the evening in a cozy mountain village. Or you can return to Poprad or Starý Smokovec and enjoy the incredible panorama of the High Tatras. Or even go home as quickly as possible to share fresh mountain emotions with family and friends.

Additional Information

To participate in the camp, you will need insurance that covers extreme sports and climbing, and includes helicopter evacuation. It will be available at the information centre in Stary Smokovec.
The group will meeting at the train station in Stary Smokovec before 11 a.m. It is possible to meet the group in Poprad.
Accommodation during the program will be in mountain shelters, in the Slovak part of the Tatras they are called houses, in the Polish – skronistskaya. We will live in shared hostel-type rooms, shower, toilet, electricity.
In the mountain huts there will be a hot breakfast and dinner, for a snack we take thermoses with tea and snacks. Breakfast and dinner in the huts on Zeleny Ples and Morskoye Oka are not included in the price, since there are restaurants there and everyone can order food according to their preferences. On average, the price for breakfast is 15 euros, for dinner – 25.
There will be mobile communication on all sections of the route, but for 2-3 days the coverage will be weak, since we will be far from civilization.
The weather in the High Tatras in summer is no different from the weather in other mountain ranges of the same latitude: it is warm and even hot in the valleys below, and cooler at an altitude of about 2,000 meters. Winds are common in the Tatras, and rain is possible in any summer month. At the beginning of the season, there is still snow in places at an altitude of 2,000 meters and higher.
Every day we will pass sections of the route with a via-ferrata, on average the difference in altitude each day will be 900-1000 meters. Good endurance and good physical preparation are needed. The best training will be running medium and long distances, as well as strength training aimed at the back and arms.
You must follow the recommendations and instructions of the guide throughout the program. If a participant does not follow the instructions of the guide and violates discipline, the guide may terminate the participation of such participants without compensation.
