Arrival in Yerevan

Meeting with participants. Checking into the hostel. We leave our things and go for a walk around the city. Inspection of cultural monuments and other attractions. Dinner at a restaurant, consisting of various traditional Armenian dishes.

We travel by car to the Garni Temple

This is an ancient structure that still attracts many tourists. Visiting Geghard. Setting up a tent camp for the night.

We are gradually moving towards the picturesque Lake Sevan

Here we set up camp on the shore and walk along the coast and in the surrounding area until dusk.

Geghama ridge

Further our route leads us to the majestic massifs of the Geghama Range. Our goal today is to conquer one of the volcanos. At the group’s choice, it can be Spitakasar or Azhdahak. We spend the night in the mountains.

Returning to Lake Sevan

At this time of year it is usually calm. A simple tourist is simply amazed by the beauty of the landscapes that open up from here. Night on the shore.

Excursion to Sevanavank Temple

After a fascinating tour we take a bus to Yerevan. Night in a hostel.

We prepare everything necessary for climbing Mount Aragats

After gathering, we leave for Echmiadzin. There we will spend some time to admire the local sights. After that, we continue our route and reach the base of Mount Aragats. We will spend the night, at the group’s discretion, either in tents or at the local weather station.

Climbing Aragats

Climbing to the Southern summit, 3879 m, and, if possible, to the Western summit of Aragats, 4007 m, overnight in tents in the crater.

We move on to the village of Kuchak

Transport is already running here and you can take a bus to Yerevan. We will spend the night in a hostel.

Khor Virap, Tatev

We will devote this day to exploring the most interesting places located in the areas adjacent to Yerevan. First of all, we rent a car and go to Khor Virap. This ancient monastery is famous for its history and superb architecture. After this we go to another monastery called Tatev. There are three interesting sights here: the monastery itself will interest you with the uniqueness of its architecture; an incredibly long cable car that stretches from the monastery over the abyss; magnificent hot springs, in which you can swim to your heart’s content. We will set up camp not far from the monastery.

Return to the capital. Flight home.

The hike takes place in the mountains of the Lesser Caucasus, so you need to have minimal physical training; to climb Aragats you need to be in good physical shape; mountaineering training is not required.
