This is a complex of hikes: to the foot of Ushba, one of the most beautiful and difficult peaks of the Caucasus, to the beautiful and high waterfalls flowing from the glaciers of Ushba into the Mazeri valley, to high-mountain lakes and to the easy peak of Koruldi (3200 m). And also an acquaintance with local dishes, customs and culture of Svaneti.
The tour is designed so that you don’t have to walk with heavy backpacks and spend the night in a tent. We will go for walks in the morning and return to our guest house in the evening, where we will live. The group meets at the Tbilisi train station at 8:00 AM. We take at 8:20 AM train to Zugdidi, and from there we drive to Mestia, the capital of Svaneti. Accommodations are at a guesthouse.

The village of Mazeri is located in the narrow valley of the Dolra River, squeezed between two mountain ranges. The village is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, offering views of Mazeri Peak and Mount Ushba (4,700 meters), the Matterhorn of the Caucasus.
Today, we’ll take a radial hike into the mountains to a high-altitude lake located at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level. Along the way, we’ll visit several ancient churches and enjoy beautiful views of the Becho community and the Main Caucasus Range. Descent back to the village. Overnight at a guesthouse.

We rise early and set off again on a radial hike to the foot of Mount Ushba. Ushba is the most famous mountain in Svaneti and perhaps one of the most famous in the entire Caucasus. It’s far from the highest (4,690 meters), but it’s distinguished by its somewhat pointed shape and the difficulty of the climb. In some respects, the mountain resembles the Alpine Matterhorn.
Along the way, we’ll visit the Mazeri Waterfalls, another must-see in Georgia. These incredibly beautiful 110-meter-high waterfalls flow from the Ushba Glacier into the valley; by the end of summer, there are six of them. In the evening, we return to our guesthouse.
