Morocco is a country of contrasts. In this country, the climate and nature and landscapes change sharply from north to south, from east to west. From the Mediterranean Sea in the north and ancient Portuguese towns, to the Atlantic Ocean and large commercial and tourist cities in the southwest, and to the Berber tents in the center of the Sahara, from the high Atlas Mountains to the largest desert in the world – the Sahara Desert, and thickets of argan trees are replaced in the south by camel thorns. Morocco also has amazing olives, couscous, argan oil, seafood and tangerines.

This tour in Africa includes not only traditional excursions and beach holidays, but also exciting trekking in the Atlas Mountains, as well as an exciting camel safari and a jeep tour of the legendary Sahara!

Morocco is truly a very colorful country with very friendly people. Despite the fact that this is a Muslim country, tourists are welcome here and you can absolutely safely come here for a family holiday. Morocco is a big country and to see everything, you probably need to come here more than once, but we tried to choose the best and show you a truly unique country in two weeks.

An active journey awaits us through the most interesting places of Morocco: ancient Marrakesh, the modern city of Agadir, and the colorful Ei Soueira. We will spend the night under the stars in the Sahara, visit the film studio where Star Wars was filmed, see the unique grottoes of Sidi Ifni, do a short trek in the Lesser Atlas Mountains and climb Toubkal, 4167 m – the highest point of North Africa, try the freshest Atlantic sardines.

Additional information

1. There is no terrorism in the country and so far it is one of the few Muslim countries where it is calm.
2. Morocco is a secular Muslim state and a large sector of the economy is focused on tourists, so everyone is welcome here – Ukrainians, Arabs, and Chinese. Moroccans are waiting for you!
3. Morocco is virus-free and malaria-free, and you don’t need vaccinations or doctor’s notes to travel to this country.
4. Applying for a visa to Morocco does not require complex confirmations and is completed within 7-14 days.

In 2025, residents of Ukraine require a visa to enter Morocco.
A visa-free regime between Ukraine and Morocco has not been established and a visa must be obtained in advance for travel.
Visa Key Points:

  • Visa Type: Typically, this is a tourist visa, allowing a stay of up to 30 days within a 180-day period.
  • Registration: Since the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine is temporarily closed, Ukrainians must contact the diplomatic missions of Morocco in other countries. Most often, this is the Embassy of Morocco in Poland.
  • Electronic visa (e-Visa): It is possible to obtain an electronic visa, but it is only available under certain conditions. To obtain an e-Visa, you must:
  • multiple entry visa (not electronic) to one of the Schengen countries, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Canada, which is valid for at least 90 days from the date of application.
  • or a residence permit in one of the above countries, valid for at least 180 days.
  • Required documents: The package of documents usually includes a passport, a completed application form, photographs, confirmation of accommodation and tickets, proof of financial capacity, as well as other documents required by the consulate.

An electronic visa (e-Visa) is a modern and simplified way to obtain entry permission to a certain country, allowing you to apply and obtain a visa online without visiting a consulate. In Morocco, such a system was launched in 2022 for residents of certain countries and has its own characteristics.

Here are the main details on the e-Visa in Morocco, especially for residents of Ukraine:

  1. Conditions for obtaining an e-Visa for Ukrainians.
    For residentsof Ukraine, the opportunity to obtain an electronic visa is not unconditional. To obtain an e-Visa, you must meet one of two basic requirements:
    * Having a valid visa: You must have a multiple-entry visa (not electronic) to one of the following countries:
    * Schengen countries (all 27 countries).
    * USA, Canada, UK, Ireland.
    * Australia, New Zealand.
    * Japan.
    * Important: This visa must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of application for the Moroccan e-Visa.
    * Residence Permit: You must have a residence permit (residence permit) in one of the countries listed above. The permit must be valid for at least 180 days from the date of application.
  2. Types of e-Visa
    Depending on the purpose of the trip, Morocco offers two types of electronic visas:
    * e-Visa “Tourism”: Designed for tourist trips. Allows you to stay in the country for up to 30 days within a 180-day period. This type of visa is single entry.
    * e-Visa “Express”: Designed for urgent trips. The conditions and duration of stay are similar to those of a tourist visa, but the application processing time is much shorter (usually up to 24 hours). Of course, the cost of such a visa is higher.
  3. Application process
    The application for an e-Visa is submitted through the official Moroccan government portal – www.acces-maroc.ma
    * Register on the portal: Create a personal account.
    * Fill out the form: Enter personal data, travel information, and visa/certificate data entitling you to an e-Visa.
    * Upload documents: Usually you need to upload a scanned copy of your passport, a passport-size photo, and a scanned copy of a valid visa or residence permit confirming your e-Visa eligibility.
    * Payment of the fee: Pay the visa fee online by credit card.
    * Waiting for a decision: After submitting your application, you should wait for a decision, usually sent to your email. For a regular visa, the review period can take from 3 to 7 working days, for an express visa – up to 24 hours.
  4. Required documents
    To submit your application, you will need the following documents in electronic form:
    * A scanned copy of the first page of your passport.
    * A color photograph.
    * A scanned copy of your visa or residence permit in a Schengen country, the USA, etc.
    * Ticket and hotel reservations (recommended).
    Advantages of e-Visa:
    * Convenience: The entire process is done online, without the need to visit the consulate in person.
    * Time saving: The processing time is significantly shorter than with a regular visa.
    * Flexibility: the possibility of applying for an urgent visa.
    Thus, for Ukrainians, the e-Visa is a convenient option, but only if you already have a visa or residence permit in one of the countries participating in the program. Otherwise, you will have to contact the Moroccan consulate in another country.

It is most convenient to fly to Menara airport, Marrakesh. You can also fly into Casablanca and from there by train to Marrakech.
Ryanair, KLM, AirFrance fly to Marrakech.

Meeting in Marrakech. You choose the time of arrival at Menara airport that is convenient for you. We will arrange a meeting for you at the airport at any time.

We will travel around the country in 4×4 jeeps, with 4 people in the car, including the driver.

For long journeys of 200-300 km, on average 5-6 hours, some of the roads will be through the desert and off-road. If you wish, you can be a crew driver or change with other participants (check with the manager in advance about your desire to be a driver).

In the cities we will live in traditional riads, accommodating 2-3 people. In the desert, accommodation in Bedouin tents for 3-4 people in a tent, while climbing Toubkal, accommodation in a shelter (shared room for 16-20 people), while trekking in the Small Atlas, accommodation in tents.

Breakfast is included in hotels; in cities, meals are served in cafes and restaurants. Also on the days when we are in the desert and during trekking in the Atlas Mountains – field nutrition, camp kitchen.

Dirham is the national currency of Morocco. For exchange it is better to have money in euros and dollars. There are also ATMs in large cities.

You need to have individual medications (chronic diseases, colds, head and stomach), and the guide will also have a public first aid kit for emergency medical care. There are hospitals in cities.

On most of our route there is mobile communication, there is 3G.

In winter in Morocco the average temperature is +10..+15, at night 0…+5. In the south and near the ocean +20…25Π‘. In spring and autumn, the average temperature for the center of the country and the Sahara is +25…30 C.

This program is safe for the health and life of any of the participants.
Morocco is a popular country among tourists from Europe, so security is given great attention here. Special departments of the tourist police have been patrolling tourist places for many years; their work is aimed at ensuring a comfortable and safe holiday. Do not leave valuables in cars or in the pockets of jackets and bags when going to a store or market. After purchasing, put the money in your wallet, preferably on your belt or neck. Cross streets carefully.

Morocco is an Islamic country, but Islam came in the Middle Ages, and still part of the population – the Berbers – are not Muslims. Morocco was also influenced by France in the 20th century. All this is reflected in the views of Moroccans. They are loyal to all religions and have never been distinguished by orthodoxy or extremism. In light of recent events in the world, we are carefully monitoring the situation in the country, but no cause for concern has been found.

40% before the start of the tour, the rest is left to the guide.

There are no restrictions to participate in the program, but you must have medical insurance covering the risks of β€œactive and extreme recreation” for 10,000 euros.

Divided equally among all tour participants. About 200 euros per person. The deposit is returned in full upon delivery of the car, if nothing happened to it. If it is damaged, part of the deposit may be withheld.

Note:

The table shows the basic cost for a group and may change depending on the number of people in the group. For the calculation of the cost of the tour for a smaller number of people and individual groups, see the Β«PriceΒ» block for more details.
